The release time for pulmonary procedure results varies: Sleep Study: 7-14 working days PFT or Spirometry: 1-3 working days Thoracentesis/Pleurodesis: 5 working days Small Bore Chest Tube (CTT) insertion: 5 working days All other procedures: Results are available immediately after the test

To ensure accurate results, please follow these preparation guidelines: Eat light meals before the test. Avoid smoking for at least 12 hours before the test. For first timer patients, please put on hold any Inhalers or Nebulization Medication for:

4-6 hours Nebulization of Salbutamol/Ventolin Inhalers Wear comfortable clothing and remove tight belts. Remove any nail polish or nail extensions. Bring drinking water and a doctor's prescription. Make sure you are in good health prior to the procedure, able to walk and sit for extended periods, and not experiencing pain.

Only PFT or Spirometry and Arterial Blood Gas are available via patient portal (CHi App). Result of Sleep Study may be sent via email if the patient resides in Cebu Province or outside Cebu through the Unit Manager.

Bronchoscopy Preparations before the procedure: • Please bring: CT Scan Image, Chest X-Ray Film, Doctor’s Prescription/Order, Laboratory Results and Philhealth if any. • If insurance, please secure valid LOA prior to the procedure date. • Do not apply and remove nail polish on fingernails. • Please bring 1 or 2 companion. Patient is not allowed to drive after the procedure. • No food & drinks for at least 6 to 8 hours until the scheduled procedure. • Please be here at the PULMONARY UNIT, 3rd floor (Building C) 1 hour & 30 mins prior to the procedure. • Should you cancel or reschedule your procedure, please inform us & your attending physician ahead of time or a day before of your schedule.
